In groups of 7 students were responsible for creating a product/service and properly, financing, marketing, creating a managerial organization chart and pay structure, along with forming a detailed operations chart to see how our product/service will be created and shipped for the first 5 years of the company’s life.
My group's idea: GeoWarmth Poultry Solutions, a business aimed at revolutionizing the poultry Industry by using ground source heat pumps, a reusable and environmentally friendly comparison to the propane used as the industry standard today, to both aid in a cleaner and cheaper overall cost for poultry farmers of today. Over 700 students and 100+ plans were eligible for this competition and my team along with 4 other student teams advanced through two preliminary rounds to compete and be eligible for scholarships totaling more than $50,000. As finalists, we presented in front of 7 esteemed and business-savvy judges a new and improved executive summary and a detailed overview of our company, in effort to deliver a pitch and evaluation to persuade the judges to invest in our company. Additionally, we engaged in a question-and-answer session with the judges, after our presentation answering there biggest questions, concerns, and critiques.I am proud to announce our team placed 4th overall and spent almost 2 full semesters working on this business plan
